The initiation stage of the hero’s journey is where it really kicks off. It’s the meat of the adventure. This part of the adventure is the exciting part where things really get interesting, as the process involves uncovering new insights and overcoming challenges; I wouldn’t say the separation stage is boring—far from it. The initiation stage consists of The Road of Trials, The Meeting with the Goddess, Woman as the Temptress, Atonement with the Father, Apotheosis, and the Ultimate Boon.
