The encounter with the goddess signifies the hero’s victory over all obstacles and ogres, often portrayed as a mystical union of the hero’s soul with the world’s queen goddess. She is the mother, and always virginal. She encompasses the making of life and death: womb to tomb. There will be a meeting with the goddess in my story.
There are examples of goddesses in media: Galadriel from The Lord of the Rings, Sibylla from Kingdom of Heaven, Padme and Leia from the Star Wars franchise.
